With over 20 years of experience, former child actresses Park Eun-bin, Kim Yoo-jung, and Lee Se-young are going to have a “weekend K-drama showdown”.

In particular, Park Eun-bin is starring in tvN’s “Castaway Diva”, where she demonstrated her star power by lifting the ratings from 3% to 8% in just four episodes. Meanwhile, Lee Se-young and Kim Yoo-jung are going head-to-head in the same time slot with their Friday-Saturday dramas, “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” and “My Demon”, respectively.

In “Castaway Diva”, Park Eun-bin proves her “box office power” once again. Here, the actress delicately portrayed the emotions of her character, who escapes a deserted island after 15 years, enhancing the immersion of the drama. Especially, she earned admiration for perfectly embodying the character, including mastering the dialect, singing, and dancing. Her efforts, such as practicing singing every day on days without shooting, shone through.

Park Eun-bin, who debuted as a child model at the age of 5, has appeared as a child actor in various iconic works. Even after becoming an adult, she continuously worked on projects without a break, and seamlessly transitioned into adult roles, growing into a leading actress.

Meanwhile, other former child actresses, Kim Yoo-jung and Lee Se-young are also making their return, on SBS and MBC, respectively. 

In particular, Lee Se-young is starring in “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” as the female lead Park Yeon-woo, a Joseon confucian girl who time-travels to the year 2023. She eventually gets involved in a contracted marriage with Kang Tae-ha (played by Bae In-hyuk), a cold man who prioritizes logic over emotions.

Since her debut at the age of 6, Lee Se-young has appeared in dozens of works, accumulating a solid filmography, including “Doctor John”, “The Crowned Clown”, and “Kairos”. She experienced a huge surge in popularity with the success off her 2021 historical series, “The Red Sleeve”.

Meanwhile, Kim Yoo-jung will return to the small screen after two years with “My Demon”, which is a fantasy romantic-comedy depicting the contract marriage between Do Do-hee (Kim Yoo-jung), the devilish heiress of a conglomerate, and Jung Gu-won (Song Kang), a demon who temporarily loses his powers

Above all, “My Demon” has been receiving a hot response even before its broadcast, thanks to the lead actors Kim Yoo-jung and Song Kang’s outstanding visuals. Considering the excellent performance of SBS Friday-Saturday dramas this year, there is attention on whether “My Demon” can bring success to SBS
