Queen of Tears, Marry My Husband, Lovely Runner, Boyhood and more K-dramas bag accolades at the Korea Drama Awards.
The 2024 Korea Drama Awards, held on October 12 this year at the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center, evaluates dramas from terrestrial, cable, comprehensive programming channels, and OTT platforms from the past year. This year marked the 15th edition of the awards ceremony.
The tvN drama Queen of Tears won four awards, Marry My Husband and Lovely Runner two awards each.
The Coupang Play series Boyhood took home three awards, including Excellence Award, Actor and Best New Actor and Actress awards.
Boyhood won the Excellence Award, Actor (Yim Si Wan), Best New Actor and Best New Actress awards (Lee Si Woo and Kang Hye Won, respectively).
With positive feedback from viewers, Season 2 is highly anticipated. Following the success of Season 1, COUPANG TV announced the production of Boyhood Season 2 soon after Season 1 concluded. In May, during a special lecture on the topic of “The Production of Boyhood and the Video Industry” in Gangwon Province, director Lee said he had “started planning for Boyhood Season 2.” However, no news regarding the release of the K-drama has been announced.
