Idol actress Jung Soojung, popularly known as Krystal mentioned the late Choi Sulli for the first time after a while.

On September 22, the female star sat down for an interview with the press held at a coffee shop in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. In particular, the talk was conducted in light of the actress’s soon-to-be-released film, “Cobweb” on the 27th.

During the interview, Jung answered various questions about the movie, her relationship with her older sister, Jessica Jung (former Girls’ Generation) as well as her transition from being an idol to the acting industry.

As a brief context, prior to becoming a full-fledged actress, Soojung worked as a member of the second-gen girl group f(x) under her English name, Krystal. She’s the youngest among originally five members including Victoria, Amber, Luna and the late Sulli.

Just then, one reporter brought up Sulli and asked:

“The documentary film, ‘Dear Jinri’, which contains the last interview of the late Sulli, will be unveiled at the Busan International Film Festival. I want to ask you how you feel.”

In response, the f(x) member replied:

“I heard that a documentary would be released, but I didn’t know it would be unveiled at the Busan International Film Festival (BILF).”

The star then hinted that she’s not yet ready to talk about the former Sulli, saying:

“I actually don’t about this anywhere. It’s also a little difficult to talk about it here.”

Regardless of this, Krystal showed full support to her former co-member by saying:

“But’ I’ll also enjoy watching unnie’s movie.”

When the interview was released, MeUs, f(x) fandom, had divided reactions to it.

While there are fans who became emotional for knowing that Krystal will also watch the film and even called her “unnie” (older sister), there are supporters who aren’t happy that the reporter cornered the female idol with the question.

Although fans clarified that they aren’t against people talking about the late Sulli, they raised their brows against the reporter who brought up the topic carelessly, especially since MeUs know how it is still hard for Krystal to talk and mention Sulli.

Along with her, Krystal will also unveil her movie, “Cobweb” at the cinema on September 27.
