On October 11, SM Entertainment announced that Seunghan will be resuming activities as a member of RIIZE, refuting previous claims that he will leave the group.
Following this announcement, Seunghan published a handwritten letter, apologizing to the members and fans and expressing his gratitude.
Below is the full handwritten letter of RIIZE’s Seunghan:
“Hello, I am Seunghan.
First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize to the members and the fans.
When the pre-debut photos were released, I felt deeply disappointed seeing such a terrible image of myself. I cannot even imagine how the members and fans around me must have felt.
I am certain that everyone was angry, shocked, and disappointed.
I apologize to the fans who have supported me from the beginning. That was such an important time for me. I also apologize to those who were hurt by my immature actions. I feel guilty toward the members who had to work even harder after my activities were suspended. I also want to apologize to everyone who had to deal with the aftermath of this situation. I feel incredibly sorry for all of this and felt hopeless not being able to be by the members’ side.
After causing such immense disappointment, I’ve thought long and hard about whether I would be able to stand on stage again or continue my music career. At that moment, the members reached out to me once more. I am extremely grateful and feel very sorry that they decided to give me another chance, as I know this must have been a very difficult decision.
I understand that I have a lot to prove to meet the expectations of the members, the fans who are worried about whether the group’s achievements will be affected, and the company that made this tough decision. I feel a lot of pressure and fear because of that. However, I know I need to work harder and do better to repay the trust everyone has placed in me.
I will do my utmost to become a better member with a sense of responsibility so as not to tarnish the achievements of my fellow members. I want to be an essential part of RIIZE.
To the members, staff, and fans, I sincerely apologize for causing so much worry and shock.
I promise to work harder and be more responsible in the future.”
