Earlier on June 27, ATBO and JUST B merged together to form the project group The CrewOne, as a collaboration between IST Entertainment and Blue Dot Entertainment. In 2020, ONEUS also gained attention due to their performance in the first season of “Road to Kingdom.”

THE NEW SIX is also highly anticipated since they are the first-ever boy group formed under PSY’s agency P NATION. Meanwhile, YOUNITE and TEMPEST are expected to showcase more of their talent and star power.

All eyes are also on K-pop boy group CRAVITY since they are known for establishing a unique and youthful identity in the K-pop scene. During their debut days, CRAVITY was known for being MONSTA X’s “younger brother group.”

The lineup will also be joined by 8TURN, who has made headlines due to their emergence as an “all-rounder” act.

Earlier on June 26, it was reported that the new season of “Road to Kingdom” will premiere in the second half of 2024. The first season of “Road to Kingdom” first aired in 2020, and involved seven K-pop groups in the lineup. The show included PENTAGON, ONF, Golden Child, THE BOYZ, VERIVERY, ONEUS, and TO1.

However, the new “Road to Kingdom” went through a reorganization and rebranding. Sources state that “Road to Kingdom” was initially a prequel show to “Kingdom.” Eventually, organizers decided that “Road to Kingdom” become a standalone brand.

“Road to Kingdom” will also be broadcast under a new title, which will match its subsequent changes in structure. Additionally, more reality elements will be implemented on the show. The program will also be directed by Joo Woo Ri, who previously worked in “Queendom.”

In other news, it was reported that SHINee Taemin has been selected as the host for “Road to Kingdom” Season 2. Many applauded the choice of MC, as Taemin is considered a role model and icon in the K-pop scene.

Debuting in 2008 with SHINee, Taemin has graced everyone around the globe with his charismatic performances and stage presence. As the group’s main dancer, many have considered Taemin a force to be reckoned with, and one of the best performers in K-pop.

Fans also pointed out that having Taemin as an MC was a wise choice due to his veteran experience in the K-pop industry, as well as his knowledge skill-wise.
