Romance in the House Episode 10 Recap
Mi-rae’s new responsibility as Tae-pyeong’s mentor leaves her in shock while Ae-yeon prepares for her teleshopping modelling work. While she tries to keep it a secret, Moo-jin makes it a big deal as he becomes her manager for the day and takes her to this site in a van usually meant for celebrities.
Elsewhere, Mi-rae arrives at the site and is shocked to see her parents there and to find out that her mother will be in the shoot for the day. Seeing Mi-rae there, Ae-yeon is also flustered and gets nervous, but Moo-jin calms her down like she used to do in the past and assures her that she will do well. With his encouragement, Ae-yeon surprises everyone present there and Mi-rae finally sees Geum Ae-yeon as an individual, rather than her mother.
The advertised product sells out fast and Ae-yeon is pleased with this job, leading her to request the people there to call her for more such opportunities. Later, she tells Moo-jin about the same and he is pleased to see her happy; however, Ae-yeon notices that something is bothering Moo-jin and she asks him about the same.

Elsewhere, Mi-rae is out on a team dinner where her superior apologises to Tae-pyeong for his behaviour and tries to butter up to him. Mi-rae feels bad for her boyfriend and later encourages him to hang on tight for the upcoming months. Later, she finds her father standing in front of her apartment and takes him inside.
Moo-jin is happy to see his daughter well-settled in the new apartment and tries to make small conversations. Mi-rae answers his questions but remembers the strange woman who approached her the previous day and asks him if everything is alright with the villa’s transaction in his name. Moo-jin assures her that everything is fine and soon leaves the apartment. Later, he gives a call to the ex-landlord’s daughter and asks her to meet him.
The next day, Mi-rae begins her new normal of calling her mother and living a long-distance relationship with her. Later, she arrives to work with Tae-pyeong but changes the moment she steps into her office where she is now his mentor. She soon shocks everyone by giving him the work usually given to newcomers and while her boss tries to make it easy for Tae-pyeong, Mi-rae doesn’t budge.
Even the CEO is shocked upon seeing the way Tae-pyeong is made to work and later questions Mi-rae about the same when he walks into her inside the elevator. Mi-rae tells him that she is assigning tasks usually given to newcomers, and he is pleased. He then asks her to make sure Tae-pyeong sticks to the company until the end but Mi-rae promises nothing but assures him that she will do her best to mentor Tae-pyeong.
Elsewhere, Moo-jin meets the ex-landlord’s daughter who blames him for trapping her father in an investment fraud. He tells her that she can resent him all she wants as her father would have been fine if he never met him. Meanwhile, Jae-geol finds himself in front of Jeong-in’s salon and she rushes him inside, even offering a free haircut if he tags along with her somewhere.
Turns out, it is one of the tenant’s restaurant’s first anniversary and he is throwing a party for everyone who lives in the Family Villa. Meanwhile, Moo-jin drunk calls Ae-yeon and apologises to her after which he assures her that he will leave if he ever messes up again. Sensing something wrong with him, Ae-yeon gets worried.
Elsewhere, Mi-rae is out having dinner with Tae-pyeong but notices her father heading somewhere drunk while the strange woman who approached her is following him. The scene shifts to the restaurant where Moo-jin arrives with Hyeon-jae and is toasting the people present when the ex-landlord’s daughter pours a drink on his head and accuses him of trapping her father in a fraud investment which pushes him into suicide.
While he continues to accuse him, Mi-rae and Ae-yeon arrive with the latter, even holding the woman back and telling her that the crimes she has listed are something Moo-jin can never do. The same answer and trust comes from both Hyeon-jae and Mi-rae which leaves Moo-jin teary-eyed as he rushes out of there. Seeing this, the woman tries to follow him but is stopped by Jae-geol who reveals the truth to everyone.
Moo-jin had contacted him after getting rich and wanted to find ways to buy Family Villa due to which he would meet the ex-landlord often. However, during one of these meets, the fraudulent investment company tried to approach him and ended up trapping both Jae-geol and the ex-landlord. Despite Moo-jin warning them to not do the same, they ended up trapping themselves in this trouble.

Later, the ex-landlord chose to burn the apartment to get the insurance money when his daughter approached him, asking for help. He wished to help his daughter in this way, but failed and ended up dying and having the money held back as it was a suicide. Jae-geol tells her that while it was easy to blame everything on Moo-jin, the truth of the matter is that they are both guilty and only had this way to feel less miserable.
Elsewhere, Ae-yeon follows Moo-jin and tries to calm him down as she knows that he is in a delicate state right now. She even sings the song that caught his attention years back and Moo-jin cannot stop himself from falling in love with her all over again. However, sensing that this is not enough to help him out, she holds his face and kisses him.
Romance in the House Episode 10 Review
Right before the finale week, we are given this wonderful banger of an episode where one of the big mysteries has been solved- the truth behind Moo-jin getting the Family Villa. And to top off everything, we have Moo-jin and Ae-yeon’s kiss scene that tops off everything until now. This couple has stolen our hearts so smoothly but has made sure to bring fireworks even when kissing on a simple bridge where the only firework-like feeling we have is the traffic light going red to green.
The episode was an entertainer for sure, but with that, it was also quite sentimental as we see Ae-yeon finding herself living her long-lost dream, Moo-jin finally getting to have a rather normal conversation with Mi-rae. The kiss he shares with Ae-yeon, in the end, is a cherry on the cake and we all surely love it.
However, the self-blaming of Moo-jin for not being able to stop the two people from making wrong investments and the guilt of the ex-landlord’s suicide is not justified, yet understandable. He is a rather joyful and optimistic human, and seeing someone lose their life because of his inability to stop them can shake his world. These details only enhance the creativity behind this show, making it well worth it.
Altogether, this was yet another intriguing episode and we are looking forward to the finale weekend where they finally reveal the truth behind Moo-jin getting rich.
