On October 24, the official BuzzFeed Celeb channel released a video titled “ROSÉ: The Puppy Interview.”
In celebration of the release of her new song “APT. (ROSÉ & Bruno Mars),” ROSÉ participated in an interview while playing with adorable puppies waiting to be adopted. The Australia-born singer answered questions in fluent English while spending warm, affectionate moments with the puppies.
When asked about her pet dog Hank, ROSÉ shared, “Hank is good. My parents are taking care of him.”
She also spoke about her upcoming first full-length solo album, set to be released in December, following the single “APT.” She described it as “my most honest story, reflecting the inner experiences of the past year. I hope it will allow listeners to feel closer to me.”
For the interview, ROSÉ wore a stylish outfit pairing a white sheer mini dress with jeans. At one point, a puppy began nibbling on the hem of her dress. Despite concerns from the stylist, ROSÉ coolly said, “It’s ok I’ll buy it,” displaying her laid-back attitude.
Towards the end of the interview, she encouraged viewers to adopt rescue dogs, adding a heartwarming touch. She urged, “Please take these little puppies home.” ROSÉ recently adopted Hank, whom she raises with her parents, showering him with love.
Meanwhile, ROSÉ achieved significant career milestones with her solo digital single “APT.” released on the 18th. Not only did she dominate Korean music charts, but she also became the first Korean female solo artist to top the U.S. Spotify chart, as well as the Global Spotify Daily Top Songs chart, marking a new career high.
Reflecting on the song’s success, she said, “The song was inspired by a game I often play with friends. It was created naturally while we were having fun in the studio, and I’m truly grateful and touched that so many people are listening to and enjoying it. I had a lot of worries and concerns, but seeing how much love it’s receiving makes me happy and gives me strength.”
ROSÉ’s abilities as a singer-songwriter were also recognized with this new track. She took the lead in creating “APT.” and collaborated with international songwriters like Bruno Mars, Amy Allen, Christopher Brody Brown, and Omer Fedi.
With the success of “APT.,” ROSÉ has once again proven her status as a global top artist, following BLACKPINK’s group activities. She will release her first full-length album, “rosie,” on December 6, which will feature a total of 12 tracks, including the title song. ROSÉ participated in writing and composing all the tracks, aiming to share her honest and intimate stories.
After the release of her solo album, BLACKPINK is set to make a full-group comeback next year. YG Entertainment officially announced on September 24, “BLACKPINK will return as a complete group in 2025, with plans for a world tour to connect with fans.”
