Based on the webtoon of the same name, it follows the journey of two men who find ways to transform a chicken nugget back into its human form before things become too late.

In the series, Ryu Seung Ryong played as Choi Sun Man, a machine company owner whose daughter, played by Kim Yoo Jung, suddenly becomes a chicken nugget.

According to the actor, he didn’t believe that there could be such a story. Lee Byung Hun, the director whom he first worked with in “Extreme Job,” was the one who told him about the webtoon.

“I was confused at the time. It was a weird yet rather unique work,” Ryu Seung Ryong confessed. “Thankfully, I gave it a try, and fell in love with the sick comedy that the work offered.”

Although it might be difficult to digest for some K-drama viewers due to its absurd narrative, it would still cleanse everyone’s palate from the usual rom-com, thriller series available for streaming today.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s “Chicken Nugget” takes on the No. 1 spot of most streamed work since its premiere earlier this March. It successfully bested the mega hit series “Queen of Tears,” thriller occult film “Exhuma” and more.

On the other hand, Ryu Seung Ryong hoped that “Chicken Nugget” didn’t only bring entertainment but also satisfaction to every K-drama viewer.

According to the actor, he couldn’t eat chicken anymore after he starred in the Netflix show. He reasoned, “I can’t put chicken in my mouth because I thought it was my daughter.”

Ryu Seung Ryong said that he enjoyed eating chicken during “Extreme Job” until “Moving” wherein he became a chicken joint owner undercover for his real job as police and superhero.
