“When I went to Paris, I was really ‘Bra-Dara’.”

The singer elaborated on the liberating fashion scene she encountered, noting that in Paris, bras were replaced with nipple covers as the preferred undergarment choice.

Prepared with a variety of options, she had packed 10 sets to mix and match for her outfits. However, to her dismay, Sandara Park revealed that she never got the chance to flaunt her braless looks.

A Stylist’s Objection

The turning point came when Park approached her stylist with the idea of going braless for a more unconventional look.

“When I asked the stylist if I could try something unconventional, she objected, saying, ‘No, think about Korea,'” Park explained. This unexpected roadblock left her feeling a bit constrained, leading her to humorously quip, “So I thought, ‘I’m Bra-Dara here too.'”

Cultural Contrasts and Fashion Freedom

The conversation took a humorous turn when Kim Tae-gyun shared an anecdote about a friend’s frustration with fashion norms.

“Someone who had lived abroad for a long time told me that they felt frustrated because of this,” Kim recounted, “and when they said to an overseas Korean sister ‘I feel so restricted’, she said, ‘Take off your bra.'”

Despite the stylistic restrictions she faced, Park expressed admiration for the confidence and coolness exuded by those embracing the no-bra trend.

“It looked really cool. Overflowing with confidence. It’s their own taste,” she remarked.

Through her candid revelation, Sandara Park highlighted the clash of cultural norms in fashion, offering a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes decisions that shape celebrity style on the international stage.

As “Bra-Dara” continues to make waves, fans eagerly await her next bold fashion statement, whether it includes a bra or not.
