In the previous episode of Seoul Busters, the team faced dead ends in their investigation into the arson case, struggling to identify the culprit. Yu-bin remained pragmatic, questioning the restaurant owner, Mr. Yoon, while Jung-ryuk remained convinced that Hyo-joo’s ex, Nam Jung-hyun, was behind it. Due to Jung-ryuk’s deep emotional involvement, Yu-bin advised him to step away from the case for his own well-being.

Seoul Busters Episode 6 Recap

The episode kicks off with Jung-ryuk getting a mysterious tip about Hyo-joo’s location. He heads to a sketchy spot and finds a group of thugs waiting for him. They reveal they’ve been hired by Nam Jung-hyun, Hyo-joo’s ex, to teach Jung-ryuk a lesson. Jung-ryuk’s boxing skills come into play as he takes on the thugs in a hilarious showdown and eventually confronts Nam Jung-hyun.

Jung-ryuk later visits a boxing gym, where a friend drops a bombshell: Hyo-joo’s father recently took a large sum of money, possibly for crypto investments. This raises suspicions about his financial activities. At the daycare centre, the team discusses Ms Yoon’s recent payment of overdue insurance instalments, hinting she might have a strong motive. In a comedic twist, Jung-hwan is on a mission to retrieve a Tyrannosaurus rex toy for his daughter’s birthday. The toy was taken by another kid, leading to a series of funny attempts by Jung-hwan to get it back by pretending to be a dinosaur.

Yu-bin spends hours going through CCTV footage and discovers a lead pointing to Mr. Yoon, a part-timer at the gym. He questions Mr. Yoon about his knowledge of the fire, which causes Mr. Yoon to get visibly nervous. Yu-bin and Min-seo press him further, and Mr. Yoon eventually admits that he and the part-timer were involved in the fire. He explains it was an accident involving oil used for the fire.

The episode wraps up with an emotional scene where Jung-ryuk thanks Mr. Yoon at the boxing gym. After their heartfelt exchange, Mr. Yoon and the part-timer are arrested for arson, closing another case.

The investigation into Mr. Yoon adds suspense and keeps the storyline engaging. The emotional confrontation between Jung-ryuk and Mr. Yoon adds depth to the characters and resolves a major plot point, tying up the episode nicely.
