Seunghan to be Removed from RIIZE, Said Korean Media

On October 11, the Korean media outlet SWAY reported that RIIZE’s Seunghan’s return to the group has ultimately fallen through.

In particular, SM Entertainment recently discussed Seunghan’s return to RIIZE, but concluded that it would be difficult for him to return to the team. A major reason was the negative reaction from the fandom to Seunghan’s reunion.

This decision was made after 10 months of hiatus, and SM plans to finalize Seunghan’s withdrawal from the team as soon as possible. It has been reported that Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton have also agreed to Seunghan’s withdrawal.

However, SWAY, which previously unveiled various dating news of Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol, TWICE’s Jihyo and athlete Yoon Sung-bin, and most recently, TWICE’s Chaeyoung and Zion.T, has since deleted its article about Seunghan’s departure, raising speculations.

Additionally, the notorious trainee Han Seo-hee once claimed that Seunghan will return to RIIZE, so some fans still held on to hope.

Since his debut, Seunghan has been embroiled in controversy over his private life, and has been criticized for things like smoking on the street when he was a minor and conversations he had with TXT’s Soobin on social media.

Afterwards, Seunghan announced his hiatus through a handwritten letter, saying, “I am fully aware that my past reckless actions have caused harm to many people. I am truly reflecting on this.”

UPDATED: SM Entertainment has since refuted this news by announcing Seunghan’s return to RIIZE starting next month.
