French brand L’Occitane found itself under deservedly harsh criticism recently when an employee leaked behind-the-scene photos of SEVENTEEN member Mingyu that were taken during a shoot for the brand.
“Mingyu took up most of my photo album… I couldn’t delete them because I was nervous. I guess I should take care of it now.” Fans later added gray blocks to the images that exposed more of Mingyu’s body to protect his privacy.
Smartly fans censored the images, but apparently they involved non-nude pictures of him changing among the photos.
I’m not sure how, but L’Occitane Korea responded with an apology and the employee only got a suspension.

I’m not sure what is standard protocol for this in terms of how serious of a violation it is, but if these were just some random staff taking photos home of him changing and what not for personal use and then posting them to the Internet, I’m not sure how this gets an internal reprimand when that’s effectively molka type shit.
Apparently taking the photo was common enough protocol (???), but at the very least the posting it is wildly inappropriate and a complete violation of trust, and it didn’t help that fans soon found that potentially more staff were involved. Needless to say, they weren’t happy with just a behind-closed-doors suspension.
