Son Ye-jin & Lee Byung-hun to Get Married in Top Director’s New Film

Director Park Chan-wook’s new film “I Can’t Help It” (working titled) has completed its casting with Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeon Hye-ran, Cha Seung-won, and Yoo Yeon-seok. 

The production team and cast recently gathered for a traditional ceremony to ensure a safe shoot, and filming is set to begin on August 17th.

“I Can’t Help It” tells the story of Yoo Man-soo, a man who once felt completely satisfied with his life. However, after unexpectedly being fired, he prepares for his own personal war to protect his wife, two children, and the home he worked hard to obtain, while struggling to find a new job.

I Can’t Help It

Reuniting with Park Chan-wook Lee Byung-hun takes on the role of Man-soo, a father of two with a loving wife. After being laid off from a paper company where he had worked for 25 years, Man-soo fights desperately to find new employment, showcasing Lee Byung-hun’s powerful portrayal of a man pushed to the brink. 

Meanwhile, Son Ye-jin, playing Man-soo’s wife, Mi-ri, collaborates with Park Chan-wook and Lee Byung-hun for the first time. She will bring to life Mi-ri, a multifaceted and resilient woman who steps up to protect her family in the face of her husband’s sudden job loss, with her characteristic charm and acting skills.

Based on a novel that director Park Chan-wook has long been passionate about adapting into a film, “I Can’t Help It” will begin filming on August 17th, bringing together some of the top actors in Korean cinema.
