Actress Song Hye-kyo guested on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” broadcast on January 8th. The actress has been acting for 28 years but this is her first appearance on a variety show after 23 years.
On the program, the actress calmly shared various stories. Making her debut at the age of 10 in a school uniform contest, Song Hye-kyo began to become famous with her successful image transformation in “Autumn In My Heart” at the age of 20. In her 20s the actress starred in many projects with high ratings such as “All In”, “Hotelier”, “Full House”, etc.
Song Hye-kyo shared, “I didn’t feel worried that my project would fail. I also played a lot. Back then, I loved to spend time with my friends and would feel annoyed having to go to work. I always wondered what I should do after work”. She added, “It’s something I didn’t need to worry about, but since I played a funny character this time, I missed out on more serious characters. I wish I had done everything before. I regretfully thought about why I didn’t choose more diverse roles”.
Known for her connections with many celebrities and as a person who is well-loved by people around her, Song Hye-kyo confessed, “People around me always say I’m funny. I’ve never tried to be funny. I respond seriously in all situations but people think it’s funny”.
Looking back on her eventful acting career during the past 28 years, the actress revealed her views on facing rumors and controversies, as well as how she dealt with them.
Lastly, she said, “Now that I’m in my 40s, I guess I’ve prepared myself a little bit. I can see the clear differences between my appearance and that of younger friends. I must act well now. I’m no longer at the age that I can do anything with my visual”, revealing her mindset for acting in the future.
