Actress and entrepreneur Song Ji-hyo is redefining what it means to be a celebrity CEO. Known for her candid personality and grounded charm on Running Man, she’s now showcasing her craftsmanship and business savvy through her self-launched underwear brand—right down to hand-making pajamas herself.
In a newly released vlog on May 3 titled “First Reveal! Song Ji-hyo’s Vlog | The Life of Nina Song, CEO” via YouTube channel Jipyeonhan Sesang, Song documented her process of designing and personally sewing pajamas as a gift for longtime colleague Ji Suk-jin.
“She’s Not Just the Model”—A CEO in Every Stitch
The video shows Ji Suk-jin visiting Song’s office, where she measured him for his pajamas. Her light teasing— “Your waist is long and your legs are long too” —kept the mood warm and humorous. She then took viewers behind the scenes, from selecting fabrics at Dongdaemun Market to cutting patterns and stitching the pieces herself.

Although she joked about regretting the labor-intensive gift (“Maybe I should’ve just made boxer shorts instead”), Song made it clear this wasn’t just for show. “A lot of people think I’m just the model,” she explained. “But making these pajamas was to prove that I do the measurements, the cutting—everything. I design, pick the materials, and manage the entire sales strategy myself.”
Song emphasized that her focus is comfort. “I wanted to create underwear that women can wear comfortably. If I feel good in it, I believe others will too.”
From Running Man to Real Businesswoman
When Ji Suk-jin asked about sales—recalling Song’s previous concern over receiving just one or two daily orders—her staff confirmed a boost thanks to her recent variety show appearances. Ji encouraged her, saying, “Good products deserve to be known. I’m sure this will help even more.”

The pajamas clearly impressed him. After trying them on, he praised the fit and look, joking, “I look 20 years younger! I might wear this to work.” He added sincerely, “This is what pajamas should feel like. If I didn’t like it, you’d see it on my face—but I’m truly satisfied.”
The emotional high point came when he revealed he’d already gifted one of Ji-hyo’s lingerie items to his wife, who now wears nothing else. Song replied, visibly touched, “Thank you so much for trying it and giving feedback.”
No Shortcuts, No Investors
Perhaps most impressive is that Song Ji-hyo is building her fashion business without outside investment. Ji Suk-jin emphasized, “She even set up a large office. She’s doing 100% of this on her own. That’s why I worry—but I also admire her so much.”

Her brand’s authenticity and her all-in approach are resonating with fans, turning Song Ji-hyo from a beloved actress to one of the industry’s most hands-on and inspiring entrepreneurial stories.
As Ji-hyo continues to thread success into each project, it’s clear that “Nina Song” isn’t just her business alias—it’s a reflection of her real, relentless drive.
