A supporting actor from “Vincenzo” shared a heartwarming story of how Song Joong-ki showed great consideration for the cast and crew.
The story, which was originally posted in September but has recently gained attention, recounts how, during a cold shoot, the supporting actor struggled with handling a hot ceramic dish of steamed chicken. When Song Joong-ki noticed the actor’s difficulty, he immediately asked them to put the dish down, “Why are you apologizing? The one who made you hold the hot dish should apologize.”
He then directed the staff to take action to solve the problem.
Later, when the actor accidentally appeared on camera holding a towel to protect their hands, Song Joong-ki reassured them, “It’s fine. The towel design is nice, so just continue as it is. Don’t worry.” The actor expressed admiration for Song Joong-ki, “I couldn’t stop praising him wherever I went after that.”
The supporting actor also recalled another instance during “Vincenzo” filming, where Song Joong Ki, preparing for a scene where he would throw popcorn into the audience, kindly apologize in advance to the extras, saying, “I might accidentally hit you with popcorn, and you might not like it, but I’m really sorry in advance. Thank you.”
The actor was impressed by Song Joong-ki’s thoughtfulness, noting that it was rare for celebrities to ask for consent in such situations.
In addition, the supporting actor shared their admiration for fellow cast member Ok Taec-yeon, who endured multiple takes in a difficult scene involving pig’s blood without losing his composure. The actor still remembers the moment when Ok Taec-yeon received a standing ovation from over 100 extras for his dedication.
Song Joong-ki married British actress Katie Louise Saunders in January last year, and they welcomed their first son in June 2023 in Rome.
In November 2024, Song Joong-ki announced that he had become a father for the second time. He shared his joy with fans, “I’m in Rome now. It’s only been a little over a year since I met my first baby here, and I’m so grateful to have met another beautiful baby.”
