Song Yoo Hyun Cast in ‘Queen Woo’ Part 2 “Anticipation Builds for Her First Historical Drama Role”

On Sep 11th, the agency Hicon Entertainment announced that Song Yoo Hyun has been cast in the role of “Yeo Jin” in “Queen Woo“.

“Queen Woo” is a historical drama inspired by the story of Queen Woo, depicting a 24-hour power struggle that unfolds following the sudden death of the king. The series presents a unique chase-action format.

Song Yoo Hyun’s character, Yeo Jin, serves as both a nanny and bodyguard to Prince Yeon-u (played by Kang Young Seok). Her character is deeply devoted to the prince, portrayed as a sunflower-like figure who only has eyes for him while constantly caring for his fragile nature.

Since her debut in the 2008 play “Seoul Note”, Song Yoo Hyun has showcased her strong acting skills in a variety of dramas, including “Confession”, “Designated Survivor: 60 Days”, “Now, We Are Breaking Up” and “Mother”. Her work in films such as “Secret Zoo” and “Midnight” further highlights her versatility across genres and characters, proving her broad acting spectrum.
