On the 2nd, Netflix’s official SNS account uploaded a video featuring the reactions of the cast members to the recently released teaser for “Squid Game” Season 3.
The video showed the back of the girl robot Young-hee, which appeared during Season 1 and 2 “Red Light Green Light” game, while a similar boy robot, Cheol-soo, is seen looking directly at her. Regarding this, Lee Jung-jae commented, “So Cheol-soo is making an appearance,” and Kang Ae-sim (Player 149) speculated, “Is there something going on between the two of them?”
Lee Jung-jae further added, “Season 3 of ‘Squid Game’ will introduce new games, and the clashes between characters will be intense,” raising expectations for “Squid Game 3”, set to air this year.
Meanwhile, Im Si-wan (Player 333) teased, “Is Cheol-soo the only new character we’ll meet?” hinting at the introduction of additional characters.
Then, Kang Ae-sim remarked, “I think Season 3 will truly deliver an emotional tear bomb for everyone,” while Yang Dong-geun (Player 007) added, “It seems like there’s still so much more to show.”
Earlier, Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director of the “Squid Game” series, gave an interview with AP News before the worldwide release of “Squid Game 2.”
Here, the director shared his personal opinion about “Squid Game 3”, saying that Season 3 is better than Season 2.
Currently, “Squid Game 2” has been continuing its explosive popularity since its global release on the 26th. According to FlixPatrol, “Squid Game 2” achieved the number one spot on Netflix in 93 countries just two days after its release.
“Squid Game” Season 3 is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the second half of this year. While there are speculations that the release date will be on June 27, Netflix has refuted the news.
