The series depicts the primal desires of characters clashing in a capitalist society under the themes of ‘politics’ and ‘economy’. It has attracted attention as an adaptation of the Naver webtoons Money Game by author Bae Jin-soo, which recorded a cumulative number of 300 million views.

Director Han famed for Emergency Declaration, The King and The Face Reader is expected to capture with a keen eye the characters who repeatedly cooperate, confront, antagonize, and betray in a secret space divided by an unequal structure.

The show attracted a lot of attention with the casting of Ryu Jun Yeol, Chun Woo Hee, Park Jung Min, Lee Yeol Eum, Park Hae Joon, Lee Joo Young, Jung Hee Moon, and Bae Sung Woo.
