The Boyz Juyeon’s “The Return Of Superman” Broadcast Schedule Is Uncertain Due To One Hundred & KBS Conflict

According to insiders on March 8th, The Boyz’s Juyeon recently completed filming for “The Return of Superman”, a program that shows famous idols taking care of children, and this episode is scheduled to air on the 20th.

Juyeon reportedly filmed “The Return of Superman” as promotional content for The Boyz’ upcoming comeback on the 17th. However, due to the ongoing conflict between their agency One Hundred Label and KBS, it is uncertain whether the episode could be released as scheduled. The production team is still carefully monitoring the situation.

The conflict arose when One Hundred and KBS shared divided opinions regarding whether EXO member Xiumin, who is currently an artist under One Hundred, can appear on KBS2’s music program “Music Bank”.

In their official position released on the 4th, One Hundred claimed that Xiumin, who is managed by One Hundred’s label INB100, would not be able to perform on “Music Bank” for unacceptable reasons. The agency stated, “KBS informed us that it would be impossible for Xiumin to appear on ‘Music Bank’ or any other program featuring SM artists”. One Hundred also criticized KBS strongly, saying “It is extremely unfair for a public broadcasting station like KBS to make a decision reflecting only the opinions of a specific company”. However, KBS argued that the claim was “groundless”.

Amid the ongoing conflict, singer Lee Mu-jin, who is promoting under One Hundred’s label Big Planet Made, did not attend the recording of KBS’s program “Lee Mu-jin Service” on the 5th, and broadcaster Lee Su-geun from the same agency also decided to not participate in the recording of KBS Joy’s “Ask Anything” on the 7th.

On the 7th, KBS’s Entertainment Center director Han Kyung-chun raised the matter at the 2025 KBS Spring New Variety Program Presentation. He said, “I’ve been working as ‘Music Bank’ PD for a long time, and 99% of the cast and lineup decisions are made by the production team. This is definitely a communication issue between the production team and the agency”, adding “We will wait until  Lee Mu-jin returns. I believe that if we wait and communicate more, our sincerity will reach him”.

Meanwhile, The Boyz will make a comeback on the 17th by releasing their 3rd full album “Unexpected”.
