The Haunted Palace Kdrama Plot

In this new Korean drama series, we exist in a land of mysticism and fantasy. Yun Gap is a government officer whose dedication to his job and his appearance are both appealing and impactful. He’s dedicated to the life he has created for himself but things come crashing down when he gets possessed by an Imoogi, a large serpentine creature from Korean folklore. Of course, odd things soon start to happen with him as he acts more and more erratic, scaring those around him and leaving them shocked with his behaviour.

The only person who can cure him, of course, is Yeo Ri, the only granddaughter of a famous shaman, who has refused to take up the family business and instead has chosen to work as a glass craftswoman. Yun Gap’s Imoogi is related to Yeo Ri because it initially wanted to attain peace through Yeo Ri but with that road closed, it possessed Yun Gap, who was her first love. All this, however, is actually tied to the palace itself, which holds many dangerous secrets. The ghosts that haunt the palace are powerful and vengeful and as Yeo Ri enters the palace, which starts to showcase odd situations and incidents, she realises that the only way to solve Yun Gap’s problems is to solve the problems of the palace as a whole!
