The Judge from Hell Episode 10 Recap

The episode opens with A-rong summoning Bael to get rid of Da-on, and she almost succeeds. Bael’s aid Paimon is given the job to confirm the news and deal with it. Paimon takes over the body of detective Jang Mun-jae, who died during a chase and approached Da-on to confirm A-Rong’s words. Soon, he decides that it is important to kill Da-on who is humanizing Justicia, but he will see to it that his death is not easy.

Meanwhile, Bit-na releases Sun-ho as promised; but unknown to her, the murder weapon belonging to the serial killer is in his house. Bit-na is summing up the count of criminals she will achieve upon killing the serial killer, making her hesitant as she will return to hell upon killing him. Later, she meets Mi-ja and talks about her hypothesis that her dying is related to her returning to hell, which will leave Da-on safe.

Gabriel applauds her for realising this so quickly which annoys Bit-na. The next day, Bit-na is given a month-long suspension after a video of her defending Da-on spreads around. She takes the suspension happily and goes home to investigate the matter at hand. During this, Man-do and Bit-na realise that what they are dealing with is not a serial killer but Satan himself.

The bodies of all his victims had a body part cut off which relates to a ritual he needs to conduct to extend his life on earth. Bit-na decides to meet the families of the victims to confirm that they haven’t forgiven him so that her interference is not for nothing. The next day, Paimon tries to provoke Da-on using Bit-na but the latter holds it in.

Later, Da-on and Bit-na visit the families of the victims during which Bit-na finds herself feeling their pain, making her emotional. While she succeeds in finding out that none of the families are forgiving the killer, her emotions begin to take over her. After this trip, she meets the demon cleaners and finds out what she has been looking for. Elsewhere, A-rong takes Man-so to Paimon.

He finds out about the deal A-rong made with him and is shocked. However, he is unable to do anything when pressured to work for them in killing Da-on. Unknown to the two, Paimon has already got permission to take care of Justicia if she intervenes in their plan. This has given Paimon a chance to deal with his 400-year-old rivalry with Justicia.

When leaving, Man-do stops A-rong and asks her why she dragged Paimon into all this when there is a deadly rivalry between him and Justicia. However, what he sees is madness on A-rong’s face as she is ready to do anything so that her idol has no speck of dust on her. She warns him to stay out of her way and just do what she has asked, leaving Man-do shaking and worried for Justicia.

The next day, Myung-sook’s daughter visits her and asks her to give her consent for the redevelopment of the area. She had met with the assemblyman’s elder son Jung Tae-kyu the previous day who warned her to get her mother out of there. However, Myung-sook is waiting for something and cannot leave this place despite all the pressure she faces. Her daughter storms out of there after getting her answer but bumps into Bit-na and Da-on who are here to meet yet another victim’s family.

It is none other than Myung-sook who lost her young son to the serial killer’s brutality. The room she stopped Min-joon from entering belonged to her son who was taken away from her. Now, she waits in this place for the killer so that she can face him and question him why he killed her son.

After this, Bit-na tells Da-on that they now need to go to the final place and it is Da-on’s childhood home where his life changed. As they enter the now empty house, Da-on tells her what happened while Bit-na visualises the young Da-on facing the killer. As he chopped his mother’s body, Da-on hid in the room listening to her screams; this scene makes Bit-na choke up as she rushes out.

She cries in front of him asking him why is he telling her everything so calmly, to which he tells her that he fears going back to his cowardly self. Annoyed by his answer, she tells him that his family and So-young are in heaven. He smiles and comments that he will never be able to meet him after he kills their murderer but Bit-na tells him that he will meet them as she will be the one to kill him.

Hitting his limit with A-rong, Man-do throws sulphur at her and escapes her hold as he rushes to save Da-on. However, when he starts losing hope when he finds no one, Mi-ja appears in front of him. Bit-na is surprised to see them but when she sees Man-do confessing to betraying her, she laughs it off thinking he is talking about going to church. But when Man-do reveals the trap Da-on has been lured into, she forgets everything and rushes to him.

There, she sees Da-on being beaten up by Paidon and soon jumps into protecting the human. She then has a brutal brawl with Paidon and is winning until he pulls her into his spell, bringing out her worst nightmare. Bit-na finds herself in Da-on’s childhood home where she sees Da-on trying to kill her. While she is aware that the person in front of her is Paidon, she is unable to fight back.

Right then, Da-on shouts her name, putting an end to the spell. Once again, Bit-na takes the upper hand and stabs Paidon with his weapon. She then rushes to the wounded Da-on and hugs him immediately, conveying her relief and happiness upon seeing him alright. The two then get up to leave, but Da-on sees Paidon rushing to Bit-na with his weapon.

As he shouts her name, she doesn’t hesitate to turn them around and takes the attack onto himself.

The Judge from Hell Episode 10 Review

Bringing an intense rivalry and more details about Satan, this episode has been filled with details that we are already loving. And if all this wasn’t enough, the love in Bit-na’s eyes when she rescues Da-on is everything that we have asked for. Adding on to this is Man-do taking a stand for himself and A-rong’s madness which only adds cherries to this cake.

This entire episode is filled with details that connect so beautifully, bringing out a picture that has us amazed. Also, I think we are slowly getting closer to finding out the identity of Satan, who seems to be someone in the Jung household. It is either the assemblyman or his eldest son, which is somewhat hinted by the knife Sun-ho held in his hand.

Finally, with Bit-na and Da-on’s ill-fated love going one step ahead, we really to prepare ourselves for some intense crying sessions as we move onto the last two weekends of the show. Altogether, this episode can be summed up in one word- Amazing.
