On the November 1 episode of KBS2TV’s The Seasons – Lee Young-ji’s Rainbow, Lee Young-ji shared her thoughts on love, saying that love is about becoming deeply close as lovers, and revealed that she’s had plenty of dating experience.
During the episode, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) performed and showcased a flawless stage. Lee Young-ji asked, “Can you introduce the first song you performed?” Soobin responded, “We sang ‘LOSER=LOVER.’ The original version is band-based, so we thought it would fit well with the live band session, and wanted to focus on just our voices without additional performances.”
Lee Young-ji then mentioned, “I heard you’ve been on The Seasons before and achieved a lot over the past year. Can you share what you’ve accomplished?” Beomgyu pulled out a piece of paper and began reading their achievements, including becoming the first K-pop group to headline Lollapalooza Chicago in 2023 and having ten albums chart on Billboard 200.
With that, Lee Young-ji joked, “With accomplishments like these, I feel like I’d cry even while sleeping. Have you shed a lot of tears?” Taehyun replied, “There’s definitely someone who cries a lot. Guess who?” Yeonjun chimed in, “It’s usually me and Soobin who cry a lot.” Lee Young-ji then asked why, and Yeonjun shared, “It was when we performed at Gocheok Sky Dome last year. It was a dream stage, and looking at my members reminded me of all we went through together.”
Soobin added, “Since middle school, my dream was to perform at Tokyo Dome. After finally getting there ten years later and hearing our songs, I couldn’t hold back my tears.”
Lee Young-ji then asked if there were any other stages they wanted to perform on in the future. Beomgyu replied, “I want to go back to Tokyo Dome. I couldn’t perform last time because I was injured, so I cried all the tears I could.”
When Lee Young-ji mentioned, “It seems like the theme of ‘love’ is always present in TXT’s songs,” Taehyun explained, “From debut, TXT has been about a coming-of-age story for boys. This album is about being happy after overcoming struggles.”
Hearing this, Lee Young-ji remarked, “It sounds like you know a lot about love,” and Beomgyu joked, “We usually learn about love through movies and dramas.” Huening Kai added, “I think I learn about love through our fans.”
Lee Young-ji concluded by saying, “To me, love is about becoming intimately close as lovers.” Soobin teased, “Have you experienced it a lot?” to which Lee Young-ji confidently responded, “Of course! I may not know everything about love, but I do love love songs,” she added with a laugh.
