[theqoo] AN INDUSTRY INSIDER WHO READ PART OF (HYBE)’S REPORTS REMARKED IN ASTONISHMENT, “WHO IS CRITICIZING WHOSE APPEARANCE?”

(…)
The ‘Weekly Music Industry Report’ written by HYBE Entertainment and circulated among the label’s top executives is spreading like wildfire. The scandal grew worse when an email was released on the 30th in which Chairman Bang Sihyuk instructed the report’s author to add additional recipients. HYBE CEO Lee Jaesang apologized on the 29th, just days after the controversy broke out, but the cynical reaction was ‘pissing on the wrong foot’.
The mere fact that the document was written is alarming enough, but the revelation that the so-called senior managers reviewed it every week has destroyed trust in the music industry, especially idol agencies.
What’s even more surprising is that the so-called ‘reviews’ are all over the place.
There is no sense of decency and not the slightest respect for the artists who have grown into a global content industry. An industry insider who read some of the documents was stunned, saying, “Who is criticizing whose appearance?”

Above all, there are observations that the crisis of K-pop will grow. HYBE is likely to be blamed for providing the impetus. Lack of morals is a fatal flaw in the pop culture industry. Trust takes time and effort to build, but its downfall is instantaneous.
