According to reports from the music industry on the 24th, NewJeans members had a meeting with Kim Joo-young in the afternoon of the 23rd, accompanied by their parents. This meeting took place just 12 days after the members expressed their opinions during the live broadcast.
Previously, on the 11th, NewJeans opened a YouTube channel called ‘nwjins’ and held an urgent live broadcast titled “What NewJeans Wants to Say.” During the 30-minute broadcast, the five members discussed the unfair and unreasonable situations they faced within HYBE before and after their conflicts with former CEO Min Hee-jin.
In particular, member Hanni pointed out the unfair treatment she received from another artist’s manager at the HYBE building, highlighting the lukewarm response from current Adore CEO Kim Joo-young. She expressed concern, saying, “I don’t know how many similar incidents might happen in the future.”
