Lee Joo Bin To Possibly Join Lee Dong Wook in ‘Divorce Insurance’

In a news cited by a media outlet on July 10, “Queen of Tears” actress Lee Joo Bin is in talks to appear in the upcoming divorce series “Divorce Insurance.” In reply to the news, her agency said, “It’s not a confirmed deal yet, but it’s definitely one of the projects she’s considering.”

Despite hinting at her potential appearance in the project, the team did not disclose Lee Joo Bin’s role yet.

“Divorce Insurance” is a drama that dives into the honest process of putting a value on divorce, such as developing a new divorce insurance product by an insurance company’s innovative product development team that gathers only the best individuals, quantifying all matters related to divorce, and determining the appropriate insurance amount.

Before this news, it was reported that Lee Dong Wook and Lee Kwang Soo were offered to headline the series and both are considering appearing, raising expectations. 

“Divorce Insurance” will be helmed by “Killing Romance” director Lee Won Seok and the script will be penned by “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy” writer Lee Tae Yeon. Studio Genie and MONGJAKSO are collaborating to produce the series. 

‘Queen of Tears’ Star Booked for More Projects

After headlining romance series “Queen of Tears” which owns the record of the most high-rated drama in tvN’s history, Lee Joo Bin received a second wave of recognition from the public, following “Money Heist.”

Aside from her potential collaboration with Lee Dong Wook and Lee Kwang Soo, the actress is also preparing for another screen project “Guardians.” 

It is a new crime drama that follows the journey and the struggles faced by probation officers, who bear the crucial duty of preventing re-offenses and aiding in the societal reintegration of former convicts within a facility dedicated to refining imperfect laws. 

In addition, she will appear in the suspense series “Tarot.”

Lee Joo Bin is also expected to join the fifth season of tvN’s entertainment show “Europe Outside Your Tent.”
