THIS ‘Queenmaker’ Star Confirmed for Cameo Role in ‘Hellbound 2’

As Netflix gears for the much-awaited return of the webtoon-based K-drama, Moon So Ri is joining the cast of “Hellbound” season 2.

After officially completing the series in October, the official shared a surprising announcement regarding the top star.

In an exclusive report cited by JTBC News, Netflix confirmed that Moon So Ri will appear in the upcoming sequel in a cameo role.

The report also added that the top star is expected to show off a stronger presence as she plays a significant role.

Best known for her role in “Three Sisters,” where she bagged Best Actress at the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards, Moon So Ri made a strong impression on viewers after landing the role of human rights lawyer turn mayoral candidtae Oh Kyung Sook in the Netflix series “Queenmaker” alongside Kim Hee Ae.

Following this, she headlined the business comedy K-drama “Race” with Lee Hyun Hee and Hong Jong Hyun.

Other than her special appearance in “Hellbound” season 2, Moon So Ri is also part of the highly anticipated K-drama “You Have Done Well.”

As one of the lead stars, the actress joins IU, Park Bo Gum, and Park Hae Soon in the upcoming melodrama.

She will take on the role of the middle-aged Ae Soon, also played by IU.

What to Expect in ‘Hellbound’ Season 2

After the success of season 1, Netflix has decided to continue the web comic-based series with a new lead star.

Following Yoo Ah In’s drug controversy, the actor has decided to step down from his role as The New Truth leader Jung Ji Soo.

Interestingly, the controversial star was reprised by the equally talented actor, Kim Sung Cheol, who takes on the same character.

Amid Yoo Ah In’s decision not to appear in the upcoming sequel, the majority of the cast reprised their roles. This includes Kim Hyun Joo, who continues to play the role of Min Hye Jin, the feisty lawyer who goes up against the New Truth Church and Arrowhead devotees.

Adding to the list of returning cast members is Yang Ik Jun, who plays police detective Jin Kyung Hoon.

Other than the duo, a familiar face will also be joining the sequel. Kim Shin Rok, who portrayed the role of Park Jung Ja.

As for new cast members, Yang Dong Geun, who recently appeared in “Moving,” will take on the role of Sodo Leader.

“Hellbound” season 2 will focus on Park Jung Ja’s reformed life after her shocking resurrection, which was witnessed in the “Hellbound” finale.

In addition, the sequel will dig deep into Jung Jin Soo’s fate after receiving demonstrations.
