Top Star Couple IU – Lee Jong Suk Announce Exciting News

Actor Lee Jong Suk will start interacting with global fans through the actor communication platform “Hiand.”

On Nov 6th, “Hiand” announced the launch of its service through a pre-opening. The new actor communication platform “Hiand” combines the words “Hi” and “And,” signifying “a place where global fans can have frequent, close, and special experiences with their favorite actors.”

The platform will mainly communicate through direct messages (DM) with automatic translation, as well as offer various means of interaction, including real-time video messages between fans and actors.

The first actors to announce their interaction with fans through Hiand are Lee Jong Suk, Park Seo Joon, and Ji Chang Wook. As globally famous actors with huge fandoms, they have taken the lead in engaging with fans. Alongside the announcement of the Hiand launch, these actors shared greeting videos and plan to continue close communication with fans through Hiand.

Additionally, Lee Jong Suk is returning to television for the first time in three years with tvN’s new drama “Seocho-dong.” He will play Ahn Joo Hyung, a lawyer with nine years of experience and a strong command of logic. The drama is scheduled to air in the first half of 2025.

IU will re-sing “Someday,” an OST from the KBS 2TV drama “Dream High” released in 2011, after 14 years.

“Someday,” written and composed by Park Jin Young and sung by IU, expresses the earnest feelings of a character (IU as Pil Sook in the drama) who pursues her dream of becoming a superstar, patiently moving through a long, dark tunnel in hopes that her dream will one day come true. This song is one of the most beloved by IU’s fans and has often been performed as an encore at her concerts.

During the original broadcast of the drama, IU, along with fellow actors Kim Soo Hyun, Suzy, Ok Taecyeon, and Jang Wooyoung, was still a rookie. In line with the drama’s storyline, they all rose to stardom in real life. In collaboration with the good-willed initiative by Park Kyung Lim to donate part of the music proceeds to support young adults preparing for independence, IU will join anonymous actors and dancers from the musical show “Dream High” in re-recording “Someday.” “Someday” will be available on major online music platforms at 6 p.m. KST on Nov 7th.

Last month, on October 21st and 22nd, IU held the “2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT ENCORE: THE WINNING” at Seoul World Cup Stadium, marking the finale of her six-month world tour. The encore concert drew much attention as it made her the first female artist to perform at Sangam Stadium.

Lee Jong Suk and IU publicly confirmed their relationship in December 2022 and have now been together for two years. The public’s interest in the top star couple remains high as they continue to balance both love and work actively.
