In a heartwarming show of loyalty and legacy, legendary K-pop duo TVXQ (U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin) have officially renewed their contract with SM Entertainment, continuing a partnership that began over two decades ago.
SM Entertainment confirmed the news on April 2, stating, “We’re happy to continue working with TVXQ. We will fully support the expansive activities of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin, who have walked alongside SM in shaping K-pop history, in every field.”

TVXQ debuted in 2003 with the hit song “Hug”, quickly rising to become one of South Korea’s most iconic music acts. Over the past 22 years, they’ve released numerous chart-topping hits like “Rising Sun,” “Mirotic,” and “Keep Your Head Down,” helping lay the groundwork for what is now the global K-pop phenomenon.
U-Know Yunho said, “It’s meaningful to continue this journey with SM, who has been with us since our debut. We will always strive to show our best in various fields to repay the unwavering love and support from our fans.”
