Superstars TWICE revealed that they’re also superfans of certain fans and revealed their dream festival lineup.
The nine-member group shared their stacked bill in a Marie Claire interview to promote their latest album, STRATEGY.
The girls revealed that to prepare for their debut in their trainee days and improve their vocals, their label SMTown had them listening to a diet of American artists.
Among them, Jihyo added that SZA holds her go-to “no-skip” album, S.O.S.
The group leader also added she looked up to Beyoncé, especially after watching the A-lister’s Super Bowl half-time performance.
“I loved the Super Bowl show with Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, and Coldplay,” she said.
“I saw that Beyoncé fell during the stage, but she just naturally got back up, And that was such a cool side of her. Just to imagine performing at such a big venue where she knows how challenging it is, audio-wise as well. I really respect how they filled that performance.”
Jihyo, when asked to form her dream Coachella lineup, named the Lemonade singer, megastar compatriots Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber, and one unforgettable act.
“TWICE is the headliner,” she added with a laugh.
The group agreed that the ideal TWICE line-up wouldn’t be complete without Megan Thee Stallion, their collaborator in the album’s title track “Strategy.” Tzuyu chimed in with her personal favorite, Sabrina Carpenter, and Jihyo added the pick she’d be most excited about.
“Olivia Rodrigo. [I’d] call everybody,” she said.
