Recently, TWICE’s Tzuyu made her debut as a solo artist with the track “Run Away”, and has been actively promoting the song on Korean music shows.

Her performances, particularly one on “Inkigayo”, however, is drawing criticisms, as netizens lament about the female idol having “no stage presence” despite having been in the K-pop industry for 10 years.

“I love Tzuyu, but she really has no stage presence. She looks scared”, “Almost 10 years in the industry and still no stage presence”, “Her stage presence is so nonexistent that if she weren’t dressed differently I wouldn’t even be able to differentiate her from the dancers” – comments like these can be found all over the comment section for Tzuyu’s stage.

In addition, some even compare the TWICE members to rookies and IZ*ONE former member Hyewon, leaving comments such as “Rookies are better” and “I didn’t know Hyewon had a daughter”.

However, some netizens have sided with Tzuyu by sharing videos of past performances where the female idol shows a stronger stage presence. A thread compiling these videos on the SNS platform X (formerly Twitter) has even reached over 190,000 views and over 4 thousand likes.
