According to Korean media, HYBE Labels is reportedly set to debut two new boy groups next year to follow in BTS’s footsteps.
According to recent reports, Big Hit Music, the management company of BTS and TXT, as well as HYBE Japan, the management company of &TEAM, are preparing to launch completely new boy groups.
The reports state: “This is because the company will have multiple growth drivers next year, such as BTS’s group activities and the new debuts from HYBE Japan and Big Hit Music.”
BTS member j-hope is scheduled to be discharged from the military this October. RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook will be discharged in June of next year. SUGA will also be discharged in the same month.
Netizens have left many negative comments, stating that HYBE Labels is debuting too many groups at the same time. Others are criticizing the music label for not properly managing their current groups and artists.
However, the last boy group to debut from Big Hit Music was TXT, five years ago.
Currently, BTS has only one member, Jin, who has completed his military service. Jin (BTS) finished his military duties and received his discharge orders from the 5th Infantry Division of the Army unit in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Jin enlisted as an active-duty soldier on December 13, 2022, and is currently serving as an assistant instructor at the 5th Infantry Division’s recruit training center.
Meanwhile, the other six members are still serving in the military. The group can only resume activities together after all members complete their military service in 2025.
