In terms of things people have been hoping for, a GFRIEND reunion is probably up there among true K-pop knowers, and now there’s reports that they may indeed be coming back together for their 10th anniversary.
“According to multiple of K-pop sources on the 24th, GFRIEND will launch a new project with the goal of January next year. It is known that GFRIEND is preparing a meaningful gift for its fans in January 2025, which marks the 10th anniversary of their debut.”
Somewhat amusingly, apparently it’ll have to be under Source Music.
Source Music, which has shared the beginning and growth of GFRIEND, will take charge of this project. It is said that the members of GFRIEND and Source Music have maintained a good relationship and communicated with each other even after the agency changed, and that the members of GFRIEND working on this project naturally decided to join Source Music.”

Look, if Source wants to try and rehabilitate their reputation by reuniting GFRIEND, then I’m all for it. It’s not going to work, especially for GFRIEND fans (not only the disbandment but trademark mess after), but hey, whatever it takes to get them back together.
Also, I’ll be honest, normally I wouldn’t dedicate an article to what is basically just a rumor and speculation with zero official anything, but like … it’s GFRIEND so I’m covering it for the purpose of hopefully just willing it into existence.

Source confirms that GFRIEND will reunite for their 10th anniversary to do a “project”, whatever that might entail.
