Uprising ranks on Netflix’s Top 10 in over 75 countries

According to FlixPatrol, the Netflix original Uprising ranked on the OTT’s Top 10 lists in over 75 countries the next of its release on October 11. The K-movie secured spots in countries including Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Egypt, Finland, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Netherlands, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and many more.     

Uprising is set in the chaotic era of the Japanese invasions of Korea. It tells the story of Jong Ryeo (Park Jeong Min), the son of Joseon’s most powerful military family, and his slave Cheon Young (Kang Dong Won), who, after growing up together during the chaotic times of the Japanese invasions of Korea, meet again as enemies.

Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born tells the story of Yoon Jeong Nyeon (Kim Tae Ri), a girl with a talent for singing who strives to become the best Gukgeuk (national theatre) actress. The K-drama is set against the backdrop of the immediate aftermath of the Korean War in the 1950s, an era characterized by poverty.

JTBC’s A Virtuous Business scored 3.86% (nationwide) and 3.99% (metropolitan) for its premiere episode. The K-drama was the most-watched in its time slot. 

A Virtuous Business depicts the story of four women who ventured into door-to-door sales of adult products in a rural village in 1992. The drama focuses on the independence, growth, and friendship of these women.
