HYBE is currently being put in the spotlight for its latest documents targeting numerous K-pop idols and groups. Amid the ongoing conflict, SEVENTEEN Seungkwan, who is under PLEDIS Entertainment, has personally spoken out on social media.
On October 29, Seungkwan uploaded a lengthy post discussing the current matters under HYBE, the conglomerate that handles multiple K-pop agencies including PLEDIS.
“I don’t want to see everyone hurting each other. I did keep my feelings in check, seeing how everything was turning out and thinking that all of these would subside and that I would continue working with the members with my best,” he started.
The idol went on, “But seeing these events just unfold while hoping the fire would die down, I think such subsiding is no longer possible. Seeing my fans, members, and acquaintances who are hurting have led me to realize that I can no longer stay silent for my colleagues who are still dedicated to working their utmost best.”
“You don’t have any rights to intrude our narrative,” Seungkwan added, “We artists, are not your items.”
