“When Life Gives You Tangerines” is a Netflix series that tells the adventurous life of the mischievous and rebellious Ae-sun, born in Jeju, and the ‘stubborn iron’ Gwan-sik across the four seasons.

IU, who played both young Ae-sun and her daughter Geum-myeong, showcasing her wide range of acting skills, expressed her gratitude saying, “Thank you so much for being with ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines.’ I hope this work remains like a warm cup of tangerine tea, something to enjoy for a long time. Let’s live well!” She cleverly incorporated the meaning of the English title into her heartfelt message.

Park Bo-gum, who played the role of Gwan-sik, a character whose love is as solid as iron, conveyed his warm thanks to everyone who followed the series through all four seasons, saying, “Thank you to everyone who accompanied ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ through its four seasons. I hope this work becomes a source of warmth, like early mornings, meat dishes, blooming flowers, scholarships, rice that never decreases, barley beans, and warm nights, in the seasons of life, regardless of spring, summer, fall, or winter.”

Moon So-ri, who delivered a deeply emotional performance as the once shy literary girl turned strong mother Ae-sun, expressed her gratitude, saying, “I sincerely thank everyone who laughed and cried with ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines.’ I hope this work becomes something you can revisit when you long for warmth and comfort in difficult moments, staying with you for a long time.”

Park Hae-joon, who portrayed the steadfast and diligent Gwan-sik, bringing both laughter and tears, expressed his hope, saying, “I hope this work serves as a comfort in difficult and tiring times, a shield for life. I also hope we can share our spaces with one another, little by little. And if something goes wrong, just rewind!!!” He wished that his iconic Gwan-sik line would leave a special meaning in the hearts of viewers.
