According to Fan Entertainment, on March 22 at 12 PM (KST), the OST for Netflix’s new series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” titled “When Life Gives You Tangerines OST from the Netflix Series – Act 3” will be officially released on global music platforms.
“When Life Gives You Tangerines OST from the Netflix Series – Act 3” includes two songs featured in the latest episode, released March 21: IU’s “Midnight Walk” and Hong Yisak’s “My Love by My Side.”
In “Midnight Walk,” IU, who has perfectly transformed into the mischievous rebel “Ae-soon,” adds a special touch with her vocals. “Midnight Walk” is a song by the singer-songwriter d.ear, who also contributed to the previous OST release “When Life Gives You Tangerines OST from the Netflix Series – Chapter 1.” The calm melody and lyrical lyrics blend beautifully with IU’s warm voice, guiding listeners on a walk through their own memories.
Meanwhile, “My Love by My Side” is a reinterpretation of Kim Hyun-sik’s posthumous 1991 song, capturing its simple yet warm emotion. Hong Isak’s deep voice delivers a powerful emotional resonance, offering a delicate reinterpretation of the original song’s sentiment. When Life Gives You Tangerines is a series that unfolds the adventurous life story of the mischievous Ae-soon, born in 1950s Jeju, and the tough and resilient Gwan-sik, across the four seasons. Since its debut, it has garnered praise as a “life drama” for its universal themes and warm storytelling, touching audiences of all generations. The series conveys a tribute to earlier generations through the enduring love that transcends time and offers messages of encouragement to future generations.

It has also made it into the top 10 lists in 41 countries, including South Korea, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Turkey, the Philippines, and Vietnam, continuing its rising popularity both domestically and internationally.
