On November 1, Netflix unveiled the teaser for Season 2 of the series “Squid Game” to audiences worldwide. The trailer starts with participants posing for photos as they prepare for the main game, all set to the upbeat mechanical sound of “Smile.”
Similar to Season 1, the game “Red Light, Green Light” makes an appearance, leading to casualties and causing panic among the participants, while Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) attempts to navigate this chaos, facing off against participants who rebel against him.
In a surprising revelation, viewers have discovered that when the teaser is played at 0.25x speed, a remarkable figure is hidden within the footage. It’s none other than Lee Byung-hun, who plays the Frontman, camouflaged among the participants in the same outfit.
“Squid Game 2” depicts the intense confrontation between Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who returns to the game vowing revenge, and the Frontman (Lee Byung-hun) who welcomes him back.
In the previous installment, Lee Byung-hun made a special appearance wearing a mask, but in Season 2, he is set to appear as a prominent character facing off against Lee Jung-jae, stirring curiosity about his role.
Meanwhile, “Squid Game 2” is slated for release on December 26.
