It seemed like a never-ending case for the top star after he had been involved in illegal substance use back in February 2023.

After months of grueling investigations and court hearings, the actor continues to face authorities on the same grounds.

Prosecutors Reportedly Planning to Re-Apply Yoo Ah In’s Arrest Warrant

According to a report, the award-winning actor was privately summoned by the Special Crime Investigation Unit Chief Prosecutor, Shin Joon Ho, for additional questioning regarding the ongoing charges involving the “Seoul Vibe” star for violating the Narcotics Control Act.

In addition, the prosecution is looking into re-applying the arrest warrant after concluding the investigation.

As for the actor’s alleged accomplice, authorities will also investigate this thoroughly, including the YouTuber who was accused of smoking marijuana during a trip to the United States with the actor in January.

It can be recalled that the Seoul court rejected the arrest warrant that was filed by the police against Yoo Ah In.

Back in May, the court ruled that the warrant of arrest was “unnecessary,” stating that the authorities’ reasons for filing it were insufficient.

“It is difficult to conclude that there are fears of [Yoo] fleeing or destroying evidence […] It is also hard to justify the reasons and the need for an arrest,” the Seoul court says, as cited by Korea JoongAng Daily.

At the time, Yoo Ah In briefly spoke to the media and discussed updates regarding the investigation.

The actor said that he “respects and appreciates the court’s decisions” after dismissing the request for a warrant arrest against him.
