The ‘Hellbound’ actor is currently serving a one-year sentence for drug use, but he will not be further penalized for sexual assault. Police confirmed today that they have ‘insufficient evidence’ against Yoo Ah In, according to a report by ‘The Korea TImes.’

Police won’t refer his case to government attorneys after their investigation. A young man accused him of sexual assault this summer. The allegations were throughly investigate following the charge. “A man in his 30s filed a complaint with the police in July, accusing the actor of raping him while he was asleep at a studio apartment in Seoul’s central district of Yongsan earlier in the month,” the news report stated.
They added, “Yoo was subsequently booked on charges of imitative rape, which applies to cases of rape involving same-sex individuals.”Ā

On September 3, Yoo Ah In received a one-year sentence and was ordered to pay a $1490 fine for charges regarding his habitual drug use.
He took on the main role of Jung Jin Soo in the 2021 Netflix horror series ‘Hellbound.’ Following the drug investigation, he was asked not to return for season two.
