In KPOP history, singer Ko Young-wook is known as the first star to have electronic anklets attached. He made his debut with the co-ed group “Roo’Ra” in 1994 and released hits such as “Angel Without Wings” and “3!4!”
However, he was charged for sexually assaulting minors and had to wear electronic anklets. In particular, he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in 2013 for sexually assaulting and sexually harassing two minors who were 14 years old at the time and one minor who was 19 years old.
On October 7, Ko Young-wook posted a picture on his social media account, saying, “Most of my photos online are awkward or uncomfortable, but I also have a few ‘Dandy’ pictures from the days when I once stood shoulder to shoulder with the best Dandy Boy and Dandy Girl of the time, so I want to post them.”
Ko Young-wook also said, “For your information, my personal fan club name during my Roo’ra days was Dandy GO.”
A photo uploaded by Ko showed him posing in a coat similar to that of actress Kim Min-hee. Another photo showed 7-year-old G-Dragon posing with Ko Young-wook.
Along with a picture taken with G-Dragon, Ko Young-wook wrote, “Kwon Ji-yong was seven years old in the photo below… It is also an honor for me that he played the young version of me and imitated me when introducing himself,” and added, “Because of this, I don’t think my life is completely ruined.”
