In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and streaming.

Starting with songs released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums as platinum once they reach 250,000 copies sold, while albums that sell over one million copies will receive a “million” certification.

On October 19 (KST), the YG Entertainment girl group released a preview for a new song from their album DRIP. At the same time, they teased their first full-length album.

The preview song, titled “Billionaire,” is a hip-hop track accompanied by strong bass and guitar, perfectly showcasing YG’s iconic sound.

It is known that the album DRIP will be released on November 1 at 1 PM KST.

ILLIT Surpasses 550,000 Pre-orders Despite Controversy Ahead of Comeback on Oct 21st

In addition to Baby Monster, ILLIT also achieved notable album milestones.

According to album distributors Genie Music and Stone Music Entertainment, the rookie girl group ILLIT’s new album, I’ll like you, achieved over 550,000 pre-order sales, breaking their previous record of approximately 210,000 pre-orders for their debut project Super real me, which was released in early March.

Following ILLIT’s debut album, which focused on capturing thoughts and feelings surrounding the idea of “my true self,” I’ll like you tells the story of deeply immersing oneself in meeting a friend they want to get closer to.

The five tracks follow the journey of the five members as they overcome moments of doubt, learn to listen to their hearts, and discover their own answers.

ILLIT’s second mini-album I’ll like you will be available on all streaming platforms on October 21.
