“Light Shop Keeper” Puts Ju Ji Hoon and Park Bo Young On Spotlight In Latest Teasers

Disney+’s original series The Light Shop Keeper unveiled two teaser posters and a teaser trailer.

Light Shop Keeper is an adaptation of the popular webtoon by Kangfull, who also adapted the series for television. The story follows these six individuals, each grappling with a traumatic event from their past that somehow ties them to their current predicament. As they carry on with their daily lives in this ominous setting, they begin to sense that something is gravely wrong, though they struggle to figure out exactly what. Their search for answers leads them to a mysterious light shop, tucked away at the end of a foreboding alley. The light shop and its enigmatic owner hold the key to unlocking not just the mysteries of the past, but the future as well.

Ju Ji Hoon stars as Jung Wonyoung, the light shop’s keeper, a pivotal figure in guiding the group toward the truth. Joining him are Park Bo Young (Strong Girl Bong-soon, Oh My Ghost), playing a nurse whose life was irrevocably changed after a near-death experience; Bae Seong Woo (Veteran, The King) as a detective; Lee Jung Eun as a mother tormented by loss; and Kim Min Ha as Sunhae, a screenwriter with her own buried secrets. As their stories intertwine, they are forced to confront their inner demons and seek out the truth hidden within their collective pasts.

In the teaser, Ju Ji Hoon, who plays Won-young, the owner of the lighting store, commands attention with his strong presence. Mysterious customers are shown following the bright light, while Joo Ji-hoon calmly confronts them, sparking curiosity about the nightly events that will unfold at the store.

Also revealed is Park Bo Young, portraying Young-ji, an ICU nurse. In contrast to Joo Ji-hoon’s calm demeanor, Park Bo-young appears anxious as she looks at visitors bathed in cool blue light, raising intrigue about the unknown individuals the two characters will encounter.

The teaser trailer builds excitement with a unique universe created by Moving writer Kang Full and showcases a renowned cast playing various roles. The lighting store, the only source of light in a pitch-black alley, draws eerie and unfamiliar visitors, creating palpable tension.

As characters with a range of emotions—fear, sadness, and longing—arrive at the store, each with their own backstories, the line “Maybe that will doesn’t belong to just me?” adds further anticipation for the unfolding mystery.

With a total of 8 episodes, The Light Shop Keeper will premiere on December 4, releasing 4 episodes initially, followed by 2 episodes each week for the next two weeks.
