Former TEEN TOP member C.A.P criticized NewJeans’ Hanni for her statements at the National Assembly hearing regarding workplace bullying.
Earlier this month, Hanni appeared at a parliamentary audit of HYBE for the agency’s alleged mistreatment of her and the NewJeans’ members under the umbrella of workplace bullying. Though she received praise for her words from most netizens, C.A.P (who now goes by Bang Min Soo) expressed disappointment concerning her appearance on his YouTube channel.
Regarding Hanni, who is of Vietnamese-Australian, he added, “If someone who isn’t even Korean is talking about themselves 90 percent of the time, how does that look? Regular people assume that a group like NewJeans is making a lot of money. That’s a negative perception, both for her and for her group.”
He highlighted, “I have many vulnerable people around me, and there are many in the entertainment industry. We need to focus on those issues. If they say their team has been neglected and bullied, what can we do? While attending was fine, she didn’t speak up,” concluding, “Famous celebrities have it easy, but the problem lies with those who aren’t visible. If you want your voice to be heard, you need to create empathy with those in the gray areas, but Hanni failed to do that. It was frustrating.”
