HYBE reports Q3 operating profit decline and focuses on continued growth through artist activities
HYBE announced on November 5th KST that its consolidated operating profit for Q3 dropped by 25.4% to 54.2 billion KRW compared to the same period last year.
Sales reached 527.8 billion KRW, down by 1.9% year-on-year, with net profit shrinking by 98.6% to 1.4 billion KRW.
Of the 527.8 billion KRW in Q3 sales, direct participation sales from albums, concerts, and advertising reached 323 billion KRW, with album/music and concert revenue falling by 18.8% and 14.8%, respectively. Indirect participation sales, including MD and licensing, content, and fan club revenue, rose 31.8% year-on-year to 204.9 billion KRW.
HYBE also saw notable achievements, such as their new global girl group KATSEYE debuting their album SIS on the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks.
HYBE’s fan platform, Weverse, recorded 9.7 million monthly active users (MAU), an increase of approximately 100,000 from the previous quarter, though a decrease of around 900,000 year-on-year.
With cumulative sales reaching 1.5292 trillion KRW for the first three quarters, HYBE expects to achieve its annual sales goal of 2 trillion KRW for the second consecutive year.
In Q4, HYBE plans various artist activities, including BTS’s Jin, who will release his first solo album ‘Happy’ on November 15th. SEVENTEEN, who returned in October with their 12th mini album, will continue their world tour into early next year.

1. Crazy, what are they doing?
2. What’s with their profit every time?
3. ….? What’s with that net profit?
4. Their sales are around the same but where are they spending money that their net profit is that low?
5. A net profit of 1.4 billion????????????
6. ???? But I can’t believe this
7. No but their net profit is 1.4 billion? Is this a mistake? It’s impossible
8. They made that much but only got a net profit of 1.4 billion? And they are a big corporation??????
9. That net profit, f*ck. Where are they spending their money?
10. Their operating profit are over 50 billion but that’s their net profit?
[theqoo] HYBE’S Q3 PROFIT OF 1.4 BILLION < THE MONTHLY RENT FOR HYBE’S BUILDING IS 1.7 BILLION

“Revenue was 527.8 billion won, down 1.9% compared to the same period last year. Net profit was 1.4 billion won, a decrease of 98.6%.”
“YG, 2 billion won for Hapjeong office building… HYBE, 1.7 billion won in monthly rent ‘huge gap'”

1. I guess that’s the money left after paying the rent
2. But that’s the money left after they paid all their expenses
3. Where are they spending all that money earned? No but it just looks dirty….
4. I get that they used up all their money and that’s the money left but this is way too weirdㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
5. Are you dumb? That’s the money left after they paid the rent
6. No but I just don’t understand how they had over 500 billion in revenue but only 1.4 billion net profit
7. Even if that’s the net profit after paying the rent, 1.4 billion is too severe…ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
8. Isn’t it f*cking severe if they went down from 500 billion to 1.4 billion? Just think about the scale
9. I know what net profit is but the fact that their quarterly profit is lower than their monthly rent is freaking funnyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
10. The net profit is after paying the rent
