On December 18, Belift Lab released a statement about taking legal actions against ongoing privacy violations regarding their artist, ENHYPEN.
In particular, the agency stated, “Serious privacy violations against our artist, including stalking and illegal photography, continue to occur. Additionally, there have been repeated instances of maliciously fabricating and spreading false information, as well as defamatory content aimed at discrediting our artist.”
The agency also emphasized that these acts constitute criminal behavior and wrote, “The false information maliciously spread has quickly circulated through online communities and social media, causing severe damage to the artist’s reputation. In response, we have implemented real-time monitoring systems and received valuable reports from fans. Based on this, we have filed formal complaints and initiated immediate legal actions against the perpetrators of these privacy violations and false information dissemination.”
They further warned, “We have gathered evidence of malicious posts and comments that support and reproduce such rumors, and have submitted complaints to investigative authorities. Additional malicious posts and comments will continue to be collected for further legal action.”
Finally, Belift Lab confirmed its ongoing legal efforts to address defamation, insults, sexual harassment, false rumors, and malicious content targeting ENHYPEN. The agency has identified harmful posts and comments on various domestic and international platforms, including Ilgan Best, theqoo, DC Inside, Nate Pann, Instiz, FM Korea, Naver, Daum, and others, which are included in their legal filings.
The agency reiterated that there will be no settlements or leniency and encouraged active reporting from fans.
Previously, Jungwon was embroiled in a dating rumor involving aespa’s Winter, but both parties denied the claims, stating they were baseless.
At the time, Winter and Jungwon’s agencies, SM and Belift Lab, clarified, “The person who disseminated the photo initially contacted a media outlet with the intent to profit financially. When the media outlet declined to facilitate this due to their policy against monetary incentives, the individual maliciously spread the photo. Legal action is being pursued against this individual.”
They also firmly stated that the dating rumor is false.
