Chinese actress Liu Shi Shi and Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu have reportedly finalized their divorce.
The pair, who share a five-year-old son, are reportedly amicable for the sake of their child.
The news sparked serious debate on various social media platforms, and hundreds of thousands of comments were received speculating about whether the two were husband and wife. Neither Liu nor Wu have spoken out about the gossip despite all the buzz.
Nicky Wu and Liu Shi Shi first crossed paths in 2011 while filming the hit TV series Scarlet Heart. They were married in 2015 before having a big wedding a year later in Indonesia.
Liu has continued thriving, but Wu has taken his acting career down a notch in recent years to spend time with their son.
The pair co-founded an entertainment firm in Jiangsu, which, along with the couple, has since closed down.

Now, they appear to have cut all financial ties, which only adds to speculation about the state of their relationship.
Nicky Wu, 54, writes on social media about living out his fatherhood and dedicating himself to being there for his baby.
“Everything around me changed from the moment I had a child,” he wrote. “I want to be my child’s soulmate; I want to lead him to what he really wants.”
Liu Shi Shi (from The Legend of the Sword and Fairy and The Legend of the Concubine) is one of the best actresses in China.
As a member of the boy band Little Tigers, Nicky Wu shot to fame and has starred in numerous films and TV dramas during his career.
He was previously married to actress Ma Ya Shu, whom he divorced in 2009.
While fans are hoping that both Liu Shi Shi and Nicky Wu will be happy in the end after a divorce, they agree that everything comes second to their kid.
