On December 24, Song Joong-ki made a guest appearance on MBC FM4U’s “Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon,” where he opened up about his life during his break and the dynamics with his wife, Katy, and their children.
When asked about his daily routine, Song Joong-ki shared that his primary focus is on his children, “Right now, all my attention is on the babies. I’m following their schedule closely, and even when my interests aren’t directly related to the babies, I still find myself focused on language.”
Given that his wife c is not Korean, the couple communicates primarily in English. Song Joong-ki acknowledged that his English isn’t perfect but expressed his desire for deeper, more meaningful conversations. He explained, “I’m not perfect at it, but I have a desire to have deeper conversations. When I can’t express myself fully in English, it can be frustrating. I think the kids will probably develop language skills faster than I did, so I’m working hard on it.”
In addition to focusing on his language skills, Song Joong-ki mentioned that he has been reading a lot of books and taking lessons. He also revealed that he and his wife help each other improve their language abilities. “My wife corrects me whenever I make a mistake or use a word wrong. We’re teaching each other English and Korean,” he said.
When discussing his relationship with Katie, Song Joong-ki shared that they’ve never had any major arguments, although the subject of language sometimes causes minor tension. “We’ve never had a big argument, but it’s usually about language. When we need to talk, I have to think more carefully, so I try to avoid making mistakes. That’s why I don’t get as excited anymore,” he laughed.
