According to the coverage of media outlet Sports Kyunghyang, Seungri has been frequently seen at restaurants and pubs in the Gangnam District of Seoul, Korea. Often dressed casually and accompanied by acquaintances, he has been spotted enjoying drinks in quiet corners of these establishments.
An anonymous source told the site, “Seungri visits the pub at least twice a week. He drinks quietly before leaving without causing a stir.”
After being expelled from the entertainment industry due to the Burning Sun scandal, Seungri was initially reported to be enjoying in regions across Southeast Asia, including Cambodia. He even attracted attention when he was heard shouting in a Cambodian club, “I’ll bring G-Dragon here!”
Most recently, the former male idol was seen in the company of multiple women in Hong Kong.
Additionally, it was recently revealed that Seungri has been holding meetings with foreign investors in Southeast Asia. Photos showed him wearing a suit and glasses, with noticeable weight gain. Among the investors he met was Jacob Arabo, the founder of a Swiss luxury watch brand.
Meanwhile, back in 2019, Seungri was identified as a central figure in the Burning Sun scandal, leading to his departure from BIGBANG. While serving in the military at the time, he was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months by the military court in a second trial and was transferred to a civilian prison in Yeoju to complete his sentence. Seungri was released in February last year.
The charges against him included habitual gambling, prostitution, prostitution brokerage, violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement, aggravated punishment under the Specific Economic Crimes Act (embezzlement), and incitement to special assault.
