Song Jae Rim’s posthumous film will be unveiled next year.
On December 9, film distributor MooAm Productions confirmed that the upcoming movie Crypto Man will be available in Korean theaters starting on January 15, 2025.
Crypto Man will tell the story of the founding and the fall of a coin crash that shook the world as it became one of the largest cryptocurrency collapses in history. The film is based on the story of the LUNA coin crash led by Kwon Do Hyung in 2022. The upcoming movie is helmed by director Hyun Hae Ri.
Song Jae Rim will portray the role of Yang Do Hyun in the movie. He will showcase the life of a young entrepreneur who keeps on failing in his business venture. One day, he received an investment deal for a cryptocurrency.
Aside from Song Jae Rim, the movie will be led by Ahn Woo Yeon, Min Sung Wook, So Hee Jung, and Cha Jung Won.
Song Jae Rim started his career as a runway model. In 2010, he also began his acting career.
He is known for being part of the K-dramas Flower Boy Ramen Shop, Moon Embracing the Sun, Two Weeks, Good-bye, Mr. Black, Our Gap Soon, Clean with Passion for Now, Work Later, Drink Now, All That We Loved, and more.
This year, he also starred in the series My Military Valentine and Queen Woo.
The actor also participated in the films Yaksha: Ruthless Operations, On Your Wedding Day, and The Suspect.
He also became known after starring in the MBC virtual marriage program We Got Married Season 4 with actress Kim So Eun.
Song Jae Rim passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of thirty-nine years old.
